In this talk titled, “How Lex orandi lex credenda lex vivendi has Manifested Itself in the Decline of the Priestly Vocation,” Fr. Joseph Illo beautifully explains that God intends for the Sacred Liturgy to be Beautiful, True and Good. Young men are drawn to the priesthood when they witness the Holy Mass celebrated with reverence for the Eucharist. Therefore, many vocations are lost when the Mass is offered without due reverence. The Latin Mass leads the faithful to God because the Liturgy is transcendent. This lecture concludes with a message of hope; when the Holy Mass and the Sacred Eucharist are duly venerated, many men will answer the vocation to the priesthood.
