This reflection was given by Fr. John Perricone in the aftermath of 9/11. In the midst of grief, we are reminded that every man’s true vocation is to prepare daily for the day we meet Christ in death. We are also reminded that true security is found only in our hope for heaven. Therefore, Fr. Perricone exhorts, strive every day for virtue, live sacrificially, fear sin and cultivate a love for heaven.
