Garcia Moreno--Ecuadorian Crusader

SKU: 3362D

Garcia Moreno -- cosmopolitan, man of science, and political reformer -- was a model Catholic leader of Ecuador in the 19th Century. Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro shows that his actions led him into conflict not only with the enemies of the Faith but with clergy worried about his zeal for Catholicization as well. Moreno, a hero to European Catholic social activists, was murdered by his enemies, who even boasted of their crime in public.
